SPHERES Halo Software Architect

Overview
  • The SPHERES Halo expands the range of payloads that can be utilized by the SPHERES by supply external power, USB and gigabit Ethernet bus lines. 
  • A new object oriented software architecture must be developed for guest scientists to enable simultaneous control of multiple payloads

Role
  • Architect modular, object oriented design of software to support parallel processing of multiple peripherals
  • C++ software development. Linux environment
  • Currently supported payloads: stereo vision cameras, docking ports, Control Moment Gyros, infrared imager, lidar, prototype robotic arms
